Alliance Creates New Approach for Federal Education Standards
To improve the relationship between states and school districts and the federal government, the Learning First Alliance -- a partnership of 18 major national education associations -- has put forth six principles for "appropriate and constructive federal involvement in education." These principles recommend modification to recent federal education involvement, including the No Child Left Behind Act.
